About Us

Meridyen Publishing was founded in 1998 in a small office in Beyoğlu, İstanbul, by a handful of people who believed a good book changes a life. Today our catalogue holds more than 580 titles and over 70 authors, read across every age group.

What we do

We publish along three main lines: literature, academic works and children's books. Our literature series carries contemporary Turkish novels and short fiction alongside fresh translations of world classics. Our academic series is open to peer-reviewed work in history, sociology, philosophy, linguistics and psychology. Our children's books are built by age group, each one prepared together with an educator and an illustrator.

How we work

Every manuscript passes at least two editors. Academic work goes through a double-blind review. Every book we print is produced to our thread-sewn, acid-free paper standard.
